Props used during hippotherapy

I like the use of shakers (or whatever they are called) to work on following directions, body awareness,  balance (riding without holding on) and bilateral hand use.

  1. Great idea! I have a set of kid's pom-poms somewhere. I'll give them a try.

Walmart sells awesome bubble wands (about 12 inches long) for only $1. Our kids love them. Have you tried them?

I see the therapist is wearing a shop apron. I've been thinking of getting the same thing because my fanny pack is too small.

  2. We have lots of different bubble wands at work and I do think the long ones work better, but much depends on the solution quality and if it has been shaken. I highly recommend wearing a fishing vest with lots of pockets. I love mine, although it is getting a bit ragged:)
thanks for your ideas on how to have fun during hippotherapy.
