Add my blog if you wish, I know you emailed and i replied. i will definately tell my Riding Instructor/Horsetalk Manager/Hippotherapy ST/Speech pathologist About your blog. She can post some of what she has done in there too. The last i heard that there isn't that many hippoptherapy locations in America, but many Therapuetic riding facilities. Do you agree with that?
Hi Barb!My son Dillon is 2 1/2yrs old w/Down Syndrome. I have been told that because of his extreme low muscle tone, he may not walk until he is 3 & w/the assistance of a walker. I have heard great things about Hippotherapy so I went ahead & started him with it. However, because of the cold weather, I have decided to wait until it got a little warmer out for him to start up again. He did have 1 session last month & did AMAZINGLY WELL! I was so impressed with how well his hips got to moving & how Dillon was able to take 6 steps with no hands! He has been at the cruising stage since August of 08.
Barbara,Thanks for your comment on my blog: http://blogofthebutterfly.wordpress.com I had already found your OT website, and bookmarked it, as I was very impressed by your creativity! Now I will follow this site too. I had heard of the book you mentioned, and hope to purchase it soon. Thanks! nickerbean
